Faith Christian Church was organized by Rev. Larry E. Taylor, Sr. on February 6, 1977, under the covering of the Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Pastor Taylor successfully led Faith Christian for 15 years. In April of 1992, Pastor Taylor was led by the Holy Spirit to pass his pastoral mantle to his eldest son Minister Larry E. Taylor, Jr. Pastor Taylor, Sr. then took on the office of Pastor Emeritus, where he used his position of honor wisely, as he counseled his son with Godly wisdom. Pastor Taylor, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on June 4, 1999.
As his father’s vision was on the cutting-edge, Bishop Larry E. Taylor, Jr.'s vision remains on that same edge as he leads Faith Christian in the 21st century. Faith Christian Church aka “The SafeHouse” is an Acts 2:42 New Testament church.
